Quick Review – Kirby Star Allies

When examining Kirby I wondered how a platformer where you could essentially fly would work, and it turns out that it leads to a very easy experience. I only died once during my playthrough of Kirby Star Allies and that was because I zoned out due to pure boredom at the repetitive levels with generic themes and something I would barely even consider level design. The levels essentially go gap which you can fly over, two or so enemies repeat then maybe some bosses if you’re really lucky. It probably didn’t help that I played Celeste (a masterpiece of a game) just about two hours before I started Kirby. The story is very short as well and left me thinking ‘is that it?’.
